BTSC Work Inspector Recruitment 2025: Applications open for Work Inspector (Mechanical) positions; tenth-grade pass holders can apply..

The Bihar Technical Service Commission (BTSC) is accepting applications from eligible and interested candidates for the posts of Work Inspector (Mechanical). This is a golden opportunity for candidates who wish to work in these positions. The application process for a total of 493 BTSC Work Inspector (Mechanical) posts began on December 12th. Candidates can register online on the official website. The last date to apply for these positions is January 12, 2026.

Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Work Inspector (Mechanical) positions, candidates must have passed Class 10th from a recognized institution in India. Alternatively, candidates must possess an ITI certificate in subjects such as Machinist, Fitter, Wireman, or Electrician.

The age of the candidates will be calculated as of August 1, 2025. The minimum age for candidates is 18 years, the maximum age for general candidates is 37 years, 40 years for female and OBC candidates, and 42 years for SC and ST candidates.

Application Fee
All categories of candidates are required to pay an application fee to apply for the Work Inspector (Mechanical) positions. The application fee is Rs. 100.

Selection Process
A written examination will be conducted by the BTSC. This will be a 100-mark examination, consisting of 15 questions from the Mechanism subject, 15 questions from the Fitter subject, 15 questions from Wireman, 15 questions from Electrician, 20 questions from Mathematics, and 20 questions from General Knowledge. There will be negative marking in the examination; one mark will be awarded for each correct answer, and one-fourth of a mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. Candidates selected in this examination will be invited for the document verification process.

To apply, candidates need to register by providing their mobile number, email ID, etc.  In addition, while filling out the form, candidates will have to provide information about their educational qualifications and pay the prescribed examination fee.
