Ingredients to make Tomato Soup
4 large tomatoes (chopped)
4-5 garlic cloves
1 piece ginger
1 green chilli
1 teaspoon ghee
1/2 tsp roasted cumin powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 pinch asafoetida
salt as per taste
A little jaggery (to balance the taste)
fresh chopped coriander
Method of preparation
To make tomato soup, using the ingredients mentioned above, first boil tomatoes, ginger, garlic and green chillies together. Once cooled, grind them in a mixer and filter them through a sieve.
Now heat ghee or oil in a pan, add asafoetida and then add tomato paste. Add salt, cumin powder, black pepper and a little jaggery to it.
Boil it on low flame for 5-7 minutes. Over that green coriander Add and serve hot. This soup not only enhances the taste but also provides relief from cold and cough.
