Radhika Apte: “Raat Akeli Hai: Honey Trehan, the director of Bansal Murders, has discussed the current work-hour controversy that has been the focus of the “entertainment” community for a while.
In an interview with IANS, he underlined that it is ultimately a problem between the concerned actor, the producer, and the director and is not a major worry otherwise.
In an interview with IANS, Honey said, “I think it’s very subjective, and it’s a community, and the understanding plays a very important role.”
“In the first place, it has nothing to do with working eight, ten, or twelve hours a shift. I believe that one should be sufficiently compassionate if someone is defenseless and has a legitimate or sincere motive.
In preparation for his next film Raat Akeli Hai (The Bansal Murders), the filmmaker spoke about his experience working with Radhika Apte, an actress and mother of a one-year-old child.
In addition to managing her responsibilities as a mother for the shoot, Honey said Radhika has always been flexible at work.
“Whenever I have asked Radhika to work an additional six hours or to shoot for an additional day, she has done it without any issues. “She has made accommodations for me in this manner,” remarked Honey.
“Radhika has also delayed her flight and adhered to her professional obligations,” he said. Therefore, I believe that the whole matter is very subjective and trivial. We can work out while sitting together. Therefore, I don’t believe it’s a huge problem and I also don’t think it should be.”
Speaking to IANS, Chitrangada Singh, who has a major part in the film Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, contributed her own piece.
“The situation is highly subjective and relies on personal relationships,” she said. Since this business doesn’t operate that way, I don’t believe you can impose rigid, hard-and-fast regulations. As I often say, you must do whatever it takes to complete a scene at three in the morning. “You must deliver the movie,” she said.
“This industry isn’t like a corporate setting where you enter or exit at a specific time after swiping your card. Filmmaking requires that type of adaptability. I’m not sure whether it will ever be fully corporatized to that degree; it may or might not. However, there is a really human component here,” the actress said.
Chitrangada went on to explain, “People are aware of each other’s limits. The difficulties a director faces are often understood by actors; sometimes a setup fails or it begins to rain. You have to make accommodations for them. That is how I see this industry to function.
Speaking about the trailer for Raat Akeli Hai: The Bansal Murders, Honey Trehan is the director and Smita Singh is the writer of this crime thriller.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Radhika Apte, Deepti Naval, Ila Arun Bajpai, Revathy Asha Kelluni, Rajat Kapoor, Sanjay Kapoor, Priyanka Setia, Shridhar Dubey, and Akhilendra Mishra are among the film’s outstanding cast members, in addition to Chitrangda Singh.
