The film has left no stone unturned in drawing fans to the big screens and the biggest proof of this is its box office collection. Dhurandhar’s box office collection for Day 14 was Rs 23 crore taking the total to Rs 450 crore. While every character is being hailed in the movie it is Sara Arjun the 20-year-old who is under major discussion. Her romance with Ranveer Singh became the talk of the town after the trailer was released. In the film Sara plays veteran actor Rakesh Bedi’s daughter. Currently Rakesh and Sara have been hitting the headlines with the veteran actor facing criticism for kissing the 20-year-old during a promotional event. Rakesh Bedi Faces Criticism for Kissing Sara Arjun Following the controversy that erupted Rakesh Bedi has opened up on the matter. In an interview with Hindustan Times Rakesh addressed the issue and said “It’s so stupid.” When he was asked about the matter he did not hesitate to open up about the kind of bond he shares with Sara. He said “Sara is less than half my age and plays my daughter. Whenever we met during the shoot she would greet me with a hug just as a daughter would with her father. We share a nice rapport and camaraderie which is also reflected on screen.” He said that on the day of the event he met Sara with the same feeling and affection. However it was completely wrongly perceived and twisted in different ways. “It was no different that day but people are not seeing the affection there—the affection of an elderly man towards a young girl. Dekhne wale ki aankh mein gadbad hai to kya kar sakte ho (What can you do when people perceive it wrongly)?” he reasoned. Saras Parents Were Also Present at the Event Mentioning Sara’s parents’ presence at the event Rakesh questioned why he would even think of such a thing. “Why would I kiss her with ill intent publicly on a stage? I mean her parents were there. People are just crazy when they claim these things. They just need to create an issue out of nothing on social media” said the actor. About Dhurandhar Meanwhile coming back to Dhurandhar the Ranveer Singh-starrer shows no sign of stopping. It created history by minting the most money not on its first but second Saturday of release. The weekend has so far pushed the film to earn a total of Rs 450 crore in India and it seems that the number is growing. Apart from Ranveer Singh the movie also features Akshaye Khanna Sanjay Dutt R. Madhavan Sara Arjun Rakesh Bedi and Arjun Rampal in pivotal roles. A sequel that concludes the story is scheduled for release on March 19 2026.
