New Delhi: The final match of Under-19 Asia Cup took place between India and Pakistan, in which Pakistan defeated the Indian team by 191 runs. With this victory, Pakistan captured the title. After the end of the game, Indian cricket players ignored Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, which was also seen earlier in the final of Asia Cup 2025.

Refusal to share stage with Naqvi

After the match, in the prize distribution ceremony, Mohsin Naqvi handed over the trophy to the Pakistan team and posed for photographs with the players. However, the Indian players decided not to accompany Naqvi on the stage and separated to receive the medals from another official. On this occasion, Naqvi kept celebrating the victory with Pakistani players. Earlier too, Indian players had refused to accept the trophy from the ACC chief during the senior men’s Asia Cup final.

Pakistan’s brilliant performance in the final

In the final, Pakistan batted first and scored 347 runs, in which opener Sameer Minhas played a brilliant inning of 172 runs. The Indian team tried to chase the target but could not prolong the innings even after an aggressive start by Vaibhav Suryavanshi and the team was all out for 156 runs, leading Pakistan to win by 191 runs.

Naqvi gave trophy to Pakistani captain

Naqvi was present in Dubai during the final and after the match he gave medals to Pakistani players and handed over the trophy to captain Farhan Yousuf. The Indian players went aside to receive their medals from other officials, while Naqvi continued to celebrate the victory and get photographed.

Mohsin Naqvi remains in the news continuously. Earlier, a controversy had also arisen in the Senior Men’s Asia Cup final, when the Indian players refused to accept the trophy, after which Naqvi took the trophy with him. The controversy over hosting the Asia Cup still continues.
