In today's world, smartphones have become an essential part of our daily lives. From morning alarms to online payments, social media, and office work, everything is done on our phones. The problem arises when the battery starts draining quickly, even when the phone isn't being used. The biggest reason for this is the background settings that silently consume battery power. If you are also facing this problem, changing these 5 settings immediately will be beneficial.
1. Close Background Apps
Many apps continue to update themselves even after being closed, so they can display new content the next time they are opened. This process consumes a lot of battery power. Go to Settings and turn off Background App Refresh, or keep it enabled only for essential apps.
2. Location Services and GPS
Maps, cab services, and social media apps constantly track your location. Keeping the GPS on all the time drains the battery quickly. Set it to "While using the app" instead of "Always."
3. Unnecessary Notifications
Every notification lights up the screen and vibrates the phone, which consumes battery power. Go to Settings and turn off notifications for shopping, gaming, and other unnecessary apps.
4. Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Scanning
Even if Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned off, the phone continues to search for nearby networks and devices. Go to Location Settings and turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Scanning.
5. Auto-Update and Auto-Sync
The phone constantly syncs emails, photos, and data in the background. This consumes both data and battery power. Go to Accounts and turn off Auto-sync, and sync manually when needed.
