Premanand Maharaj

There has been a change in the timing of Premanand Maharaj's padayatra. Now the glimpse of Premnand Maharaj will be available not at night but only in the evening. The timing of Premanand Maharaj's padayatra which used to be at 2 o'clock in the night is now at 5 o'clock in the evening. That means now Maharaj will go on a padayatra in the evening. In such a situation, this changed time will provide relief to the devotees. They will not have to wait till night to get a glimpse of the Maharaja.

His padyatra starts from his flat at Shri Krishna Sharanam in Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh to Shri Radha Kelikunj Ashram. Even on Sunday, he went out on a padayatra with changed timings. Earlier, when information about their changed timings came to light, the entire route was decorated very beautifully. Flowers were spread on the route. Along with this, ropes were tied from both sides. There was a lot of discipline and good arrangements during this period.

Now we will go on a walk at 5 pm

Devotees stood in long queues to get a glimpse of the Maharaja. The discipline and order during the march was excellent. The devotees themselves were giving space to the elderly women and children to move forward. At around 5 pm, Maharajji's followers proceeded on bikes and cars from Shri Krishna Sharanam. After this Premanand Maharaj set out on a padayatra with some prominent followers.

Ashram after walking 2 kilometers

However, this year the timing of the padayatra was changed from 2 pm. However, no official information was received from Shriradha Kelikunj Ashram regarding the reason for this change. Maharaj used to reach the Ashram by walking about 2 kilometers from Shri Krishna Sharanam at 2 o'clock in the night, till now thousands of devotees used to join this route every night. With the change in times, the responsibility of Mathura Police has also increased. Due to heavy crowd in the evening, special attention is being paid to route management and traffic control. Ropes have been installed on both sides of the entire route for safety, so that no devotee can come in the way.

Often devotees arrive early and make rangoli, decorate children in the form of Radha-Krishna and sing bhajans and kirtans. Many times the Maharaja stops after seeing all this and walks on the road with folded hands to greet the devotees. CO Sadar Sandeep Singh said that in view of the large number of devotees, additional police force has been deployed. Barricading has been done on the entire route, so that the system remains smooth and safe for everyone.
