According to a recent report, disliking YouTube shorts is likely to become very difficult in the coming days. The thumb down button currently appears below the like button in the corner of the shorts. But now this place is going to be changed soon. It is said that YouTube may combine the dislike and not interested buttons. Some users don’t see any difference between dislike and not interested button. So it is likely that the company has taken a decision. In the future, users can complete both processes by clicking on a single button. That means you can select both dislike and not interested options by clicking a single button. No official announcement has been made regarding this yet. But this claim is being made due to information going viral on social media.

The functions and location of the dislike button on YouTube will change. Therefore, it is assumed that some users may be shown this button on their devices with the Dislike label while others may be shown this button with the Not Interested label. A thumb down button can be displayed inside the over flow menu depending on the test results. This button can be seen on the three dots in the top right corner of the shorts. As you can see, the Dislike button requires you to take extra steps, while the Like button remains on the main playback screen as before. This implies that liking the content will be very easy but disliking it will require extra effort from the user.
