Atal Memorial Lecture Series was organized in the writer village of Thano. The first session of the program was inaugurated by Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Reni).
Dehradun: Prominent leaders of the state participated in the Atal Memorial Lecture Series organized at the Writer village in Thano, Uttarakhand. The objective of this program is to spread the ideology, poetry and personality of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee to the people. The first session of the lecture series was inaugurated by Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh (Reni). On this occasion, the Governor described Atal ji’s life journey as a poet, writer and Prime Minister. He said that Atal ji’s tenure is an inspiration for the country and society and his ideology still provides guidance to the youth.
The Governor also appreciated the initiative of Writer Village and said that this organization is making continuous efforts towards realizing the dreams of Atal ji. Their objective is not only to remember his contribution but also to convey his ideas and ideals to the new generation.
Message from Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also participated in the program. He said that Atal ji gave an identity to Uttarakhand, which today the government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is making even stronger through the Golden Quadrilateral Scheme. The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Atal ji, the country has achieved many important achievements, including nuclear testing and enhancing India’s prestige at the international level. Apart from this, he also shared some excerpts of Atal ji’s poems, which gave the listeners an experience of his literary perspective and sensitivity.
Atal Smriti Lecture Series is organized every year in the writer village. Its objective is to introduce youth and students to Atal ji’s thoughts, his leadership skills and poetic outlook. The team of Writer Village said that Atal ji’s political philosophy, social contribution and literary works will be presented in detail through the lecture series. The program also includes organizing poetry conferences, literary discussions and symposiums.
