Smartphone maker Xiaomi on Thursday launched the fourth model in its flagship lineup in China. This new smartphone Xiaomi 17 was launched as Ultra. This newly launched smartphone is said to be the successor of Xiaomi 15 Ultra. This smartphone was launched in the country earlier this year. The new Xiaomi 17 Ultra is equipped with Qualcomm’s flagship octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, built on a 3nm process.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Price and Availability

The base variant of Xiaomi 17 Ultra with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage has been priced at CNY 6,999 i.e. around Rs 90,000. Also, the higher-end option with 16GB RAM + 512GB storage has been priced at CNY 7,499, which is around Rs 96,000. The 16GB RAM+512GB storage option of the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition is priced at CNY 7,999 which is around Rs 1,02,000 and the 16GB RAM+1TB storage variant is priced at CNY 8,999 which is around Rs 1,15,000. This smartphone has been launched in black and off white shades. The new Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be available for purchase in China from December 27 through the Xiaomi Online Store.

Specifications and features of Xiaomi 17 Ultra

Xiaomi 17 Ultra is based on Android 16-based HyperOS 3. The smartphone features a 6.9-inch 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display with up to 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1,060 nits peak brightness and Dragon Crystal Glass 3 protection. The phone is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship octa-core 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, coupled with Adreno 840 GPU. It also has up to 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage.

Talking about photography, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra has a Leica-tuned triple rear camera unit. It has a 50-megapixel LOFIC Omnivision 1050L primary shooter with a 1-inch sensor and optical image stabilization. It also has a 50-megapixel Samsung JN5 ultrawide camera and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, which supports 3.2x to 4.3x continuous optical zoom. This phone can record videos up to 4K resolution. There is also a 50-megapixel OV50M selfie camera on the front of the smartphone.

The new Xiaomi 17 Ultra is powered by a 6,800mAh battery, which supports 90W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. For connectivity, the smartphone supports 5G, 4G LTE, a USB Type-C port, NFC, Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. It has an IP66 + IP68 + IP69 rating for protection against dust and water. The handset also has a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor.
