Delhi Police Operation Aaghaat 3.0: Just before the New Year, Delhi Police Operation Trauma 3.0 has become a big topic of discussion. Under this special campaign, South-East Delhi Police launched a direct attack on habitual criminals and crime hotspots. The objective of the police was clear – to control crime in the new year and increase security confidence among the common people. For this reason, this operation was carried out suddenly, quickly and with complete strategy.
Why was Operation Aaghaat 3.0 started?
According to police officials, there is a possibility of increase in crimes like theft, robbery, drugs and illegal liquor at the end of the year. Keeping this in mind, Operation Trauma 3.0 was started, so that the criminals are caught in advance and law and order remains strong in the area.
How many people were interrogated and how many were arrested?
During this operation, the police interrogated more than 1,000 suspects. After investigation and checking, 285 accused were arrested under different laws. Apart from this, 504 people were caught as part of preventive action, while 116 Listed Criminals (BCs) were also detained. Overall, police action was taken against 1,306 people.

On which crimes was the police's special focus?
In this operation, strictness was shown on matters related to Arms Act, Excise Act, NDPS Act and Gambling Act. In particular, habitual criminals involved in theft, vehicle theft and drug dealing were targeted. The police also arrested 10 property criminals and 5 auto-lifters.
What was recovered that surprised everyone?

- 21 country made pistol,
- 20 live cartridges and 27 knives,
- 12,258 quarters of illicit liquor,
- 6.01 kg ganja,
- Rs 2,30,990 cash,
- 310 mobile phones linked to snatching and robbery,
- Seized 231 two-wheelers and 1 four-wheeler.
Will Operation Aaghaat continue further?
Police officials say that this campaign is not a one-time operation. Campaigns like Delhi Police Operation Traut will continue in the coming days also. The objective is clear – to keep an eye on habitual criminals, root out crime and maintain public trust.
