New Delhi:Samsung is preparing to launch its next flagship smartphone series Galaxy S26 early next year, but even before the launch, the company seems to be stuck in a big dilemma. Actually, the price of Galaxy S26 lineup has not been finalized yet, because the cost of its manufacturing is continuously increasing.
According to reports, the rising prices of memory chips and other essential components have ruined Samsung’s budget. The company wants to avoid increasing the price, because it can have a negative impact on sales. At the same time, if the price is not increased, Samsung may have to face financial loss, for which the company does not seem to be ready at the moment.

A recent report has revealed that Samsung is selling its first trifold smartphone Galaxy Z TriFold at a loss. It has been told that the cost of making this phone is more than its selling price. Since this is a premium device with limited units, Samsung is bearing this loss for now.
However, in the case of Galaxy S26 series, the company cannot take such a risk. This series is going to be sold on a large scale and the loss in it can have a direct impact on the financial condition of the company. For this reason, Samsung is deliberating deeply about the price and it may take time to take a final decision.
For what reasons is the cost of phones increasing?
The biggest challenge Samsung is facing is the rising prices of memory chips. According to reports, the prices of memory chips may increase by 30 to 40 percent next year. Apart from this, the company cannot completely depend on its Exynos chipset and it has to pay more to buy Snapdragon processors from Qualcomm.
Not only the chipset, but the cost of OLED displays is also continuously increasing. For these reasons, Samsung is now in talks with a Chinese company for the supply of OLED panels. The thing to note is that this pressure is not only on Samsung, but other smartphone companies are also facing the brunt of inflation. For example, Xiaomi is planning to launch its upcoming smartphones at an increased price.
It may take time to decide the price
Considering all these reasons, it is believed that it may take some more time for Samsung to take the final decision regarding the price of Galaxy S26 series. The company is trying to strike a balance, so that neither sales are affected nor it has to suffer huge financial losses.
