Raghav Chaddha News: Raghav Chadha recently met Blinkit delivery boy Himanshu at his home. He shared a post about this meeting on his social media.

Recently, a video of a delivery boy went viral on social media. In a short video, the young man described his daily routine. In the video, he explained that he worked 15 hours, delivering 28 orders, and earning only ₹763 for the entire day. After the video went viral, Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha raised the boy's issue in the House. Chadha has now met with the young man at his home.

It's worth noting that during the winter session of Parliament, Raghav Chadha brought attention to the hardships faced by delivery partners, including low wages, long working hours, and the absence of social security for gig and platform workers. He publicly raised this issue and expressed his support for gig workers.

The matter gained momentum due to this.

The issue has gained momentum because gig workers in several cities recently staged strikes and protests. Gig workers went on a mass strike on Thursday (December 25, 2025) and announced a second strike scheduled for December 31, 2025, before the New Year.

The strike, called by the Indian Federation of App-Based Transport Workers (IFATW), coincides with peak demand at the end of the year, one of the most essential periods for food and grocery delivery. Delivery partners have repeatedly highlighted concerns about opaque algorithm-based targets, arbitrary penalties, sudden pay changes, and the lack of an effective grievance redressal mechanism – highlighting the challenges of India's rapidly growing gig economy.
