In Osho’s ‘O’ there is call and in ‘Show’ there is darshan. The English word ‘show’ means huge, display, expression or play.
Osho was a philosopher with opposing views. Many times in his thoughts you will feel that he said this there, he said this here. I consider him an empiricist thinker. Whatever truth came to him in his experience, he said it, that is why he has conflicting views.
Osho was in favor of freedom but his freedom was a systematic and disciplined freedom. He was not in favor of any such freedom which would become anti-human. That means you have every right to take your own digs but only as long as it does not break anyone else’s nose.
In my view, Osho is an Acharya, a teacher, he has known the truth through his own experience. He is an empiricist philosopher. Not only this, Osho is also a great scholar because he studied every path.
Logic was the essence of Osho’s thinking. He did a serious, objective study on everything that was thought and understood in our country during the last two-two and a half thousand years. Initially, I felt as if Osho was some Brahmarakshasa who had read too much. He is struggling to clear it, but later on, my views towards Osho also changed. I saw his ashram, his work and all the arrangements and gradually I started liking Osho. And initially I considered him as ‘Brahma Rakshasa’ but then I started considering him as ‘Brahma Guru’. For me then he was no longer a Brahma Rakshas but became a Brahma Guru. Osho moved in the opposite direction of time and expressed such concepts which no one could say. For example, no one could say that sexual intercourse and samadhi are the same thing.
The rumors or misconceptions associated with the Ashram by linking it to sex are completely wrong. The architecture there is unique in itself and rare species of flowers are found among the plants and we saw top artists from every field there, be it a singer or a painter or a therapist or a person to meditation. It was a place for art lovers and the rich. Those people knew how to refine things by looking at them from an emotional point of view and knew how to see a person as a better person.
I have been there many times alone and many times with my wife. Osho’s Ashram is unique in itself, where there were enlightened architects of the West, designers and people who were hurt in life. There were people who were deceived in love and there were also those who were thirsty for knowledge. There were also dedicated people who wanted to live their lives in peace, tranquility and happiness. The people living here help each other but do not interfere with each other. The meditation pyramids built here, the park built on the drains, everything is amazing.
Completely different from traditional ashrams, Osho’s ashram was not only huge but also gave peace and comfort. It gives us a way to go within ourselves. You can visit this entire complex from the viewpoint of a tourist as well as from the viewpoint of meditation and self-transformation. This is an energized Buddha area.
As far as Osho’s controversy is concerned, he created a future vision that was transparent from the knowledge of contemporary life and the past. He did not like transparency and morality, that is why he was surrounded by controversies during his time. He could not digest the rigid traditions, could not digest the conservative minds, could not digest the ignorant scholars, could not digest the brahminical demons, but after his departure, people started knowing him more deeply and found that he was a philosopher much ahead of his time. Osho is a scientific laboratory, Osho is an electrician who wants to remove the fuse bulb of your brain and put a new life bulb there so that the light not only goes outside but also goes inside and there is inner observation.
