Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started the admission process for its online courses for the January 2026 session. Students who wish to study from home can now apply for IGNOU's online programs.

According to the information provided by the university, students need to register on the Samarth portal for admission to online courses. The application process is entirely online, so that students from any part of the country can easily fill out the form.

For online admission, students must have an APAAR ID. The application cannot be completed without an APAAR ID. Students who are not already IGNOU students will have to register as new users on the portal first.

The last date to apply for IGNOU online courses is January 31, 2026. The university has advised students not to wait until the last date and complete the application process in time.

While filling out the form, students will have to upload their passport-size photograph, signature, academic certificates, and other necessary documents. All documents must be uploaded in the specified size and format for the application to be accepted.

IGNOU offers a variety of courses in online mode. These include undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate courses. Popular courses like MBA, MCA, MA, BCA, and B.Com are also available as online study options.

For students who want to study while working or who cannot attend regular college for any reason, IGNOU's online courses can be a good option.
