Princess Beatrice was filmed looking surprised after a member of the public made an unexpected comment to her on Christmas Day. The princess, 37, and her sister Princess Eugenie, 35, along with their husbands, joined the Royal Family on Thursday for the Christmas Day walkabout.
This was despite the fact that their father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor had been banished from the celebrations. While the sisters looked slightly nervous to be part of the very public walk to church, it seemed that they had nothing to fear.
Instead, they received praise from royal fans, with one comment caught on camera.
In a video shared on TikTok by royal fan Karen Anvil, Beatrice could be seen smiling and thanking a member of the public. According to GB News, Beatrice said: "That's very kind, thank you!"
This was in response to royalist Ms Anvil telling the princess that she looked beautiful and was glad she came to the royal Christmas celebrations.
This was revealed by the royal fan herself, who wrote on TikTok: "SO GLAD she came! Look at her hands, she was so anxious. She is extremely underrated. Wonderful royal!
"I told her she looked beautiful and was glad she came, I meant it. She is a really lovely woman and her husband is always so nice. Everyone was so happy her and her sister came, regardless of whether you want to believe that or not. There were no boos or inappropriate comments."
The sisters' appearance at Sandringham was a surprise for royal fans, with previous reports suggesting that Beatrice was going to be away with friends for the festive season.
Instead, she decided to spend the day with King Charles and her royal relatives, just like her sister Eugenie.
It is not known whether they had any correspondence with their father Andrew on Christmas Day as the former prince was spotted alone in Windsor.
He was believed to have been banned from the royal celebrations after more recent scandals, despite the fact Andrew continues to deny all accusations.
As well as missing the family event, over the last few months he has also lost his royal titles and will next year lose his 30-room royal home. Instead, he will move to a much smaller property on the Sandringham estate.
