Ladki Bahin Yojana e-KYC Deadline: Complete Verification by December 31 or Monthly ₹1500 Payment May Stop

The Maharashtra government has issued an important alert for women registered under the Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Beneficiaries must complete their e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) verification before December 31, otherwise they may lose the monthly financial assistance of ₹1,500 provided through the scheme.

Women and Child Development Minister Aditi Tatkare has appealed to all beneficiaries to complete identity verification on time to ensure that their payments continue without any disruption. The minister shared the announcement through social media, reminding citizens that the verification process is mandatory for receiving future installments.

Why e-KYC is Important

The government has clarified that e-KYC is essential to confirm the beneficiary’s eligibility and prevent irregularities in the distribution of funds. Without completing this verification:

  • Monthly assistance may be delayed

  • Payments may stop completely

  • Records may be marked incomplete, affecting future support

Therefore, eligible women have been urged not to wait until the last date and complete the authentication process at the earliest.

Correction Option Available for Earlier Mistakes

The government has also provided relief for women who have already completed e-KYC but made an incorrect selection during the process. Such beneficiaries can log in again to the official portal and update or correct any errors until December 31, 2025.

This move ensures that women do not face payment issues due to technical or self-entry mistakes in their verification details. Beneficiaries must personally log in to the portal to make corrections, ensuring accuracy and preventing future complications.
