According to Star News Korea on Feb. 27, Jun purchased in September last year a five-story building with one basement level in the district for 18.6 billion won. The property has a total floor area of about 1,042 square meters.
She also bought a separate three-story building in the same neighborhood for 26 billion won. That property has a total floor area of approximately 1,129 square meters. In addition, a 50-square-meter parcel of land located between the two buildings was acquired for 2.2 billion won, bringing the total transaction value to 46.8 billion won.
Reports said Jun completed the registration of ownership transfer on Feb. 23. A collateral security right of 33.6 billion won was set on the properties. As the maximum bond amount is typically set at around 120% of the loan principal, the actual loan is estimated at 28 billion won.
The Asia Business Daily reported that Jun already holds multiple real estate assets across Seoul. In 2022, she purchased a commercial building in Gangseo District for 50.5 billion won. In 2023, she acquired a duplex penthouse at Acro Seoul Forest in Seongdong District for 13 billion won in cash. She also owns retail properties in Yongsan and Gangnam districts, and the total value of her real estate holdings is estimated at around 150 billion won.
Jun, 45, made her screen debut in 1998 and rose to prominence with her role in the 2001 romantic comedy “My Sassy Girl,” which helped propel South Korean cinema onto the global stage. She has since starred in box-office hits such as “The Thieves” and “Assassination,” as well as popular television dramas including “My Love from the Star” and “The Legend of the Blue Sea.”
Her sustained success across film and television has cemented her status as one of the leading figures of the Korean Wave.
