Don 3 is currently one of the most talked-about projects in Bollywood. Ranveer Singh was initially cast in the lead role, but he later stepped away from the film.

According to Indian media reports, several influential figures from the film industry have begun efforts to resolve the differences between the two parties. A high-level meeting was reportedly held where leading Bollywood actors, filmmakers, and producers discussed the current situation surrounding Don 3.

Those in attendance included Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Rajkumar Hirani, Zoya Akhtar, Sajid Nadiadwala, Ramesh Taurani, Kumar Mangat, and Amritpal Singh Bindra.

Reports suggest that the core issue stems from Ranveer Singh’s withdrawal from the project. Farhan Akhtar’s production banner, Excel Entertainment, allegedly sought ₹40 crore in compensation following his exit.

Amid this situation, Aamir Khan is said to have taken on the role of mediator in an effort to settle the matter amicably. The reports gained further credibility when Karan Johar, Sajid Nadiadwala, Ekta Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, and Zoya Akhtar were seen leaving Aamir Khan’s residence in Mumbai a few days later.

It is worth noting that Farhan Akhtar’s *Don* franchise began with Shah Rukh Khan’s 2006 film *Don*, which was a remake of the 1978 classic. The sequel was released in 2011.

Later, in 2023, Excel Entertainment officially announced that Ranveer Singh would headline the third installment of the franchise.
