There is a war going on between Iran and Israel. In such a situation, its impact can be seen on India also. If this situation continues for a long time, some sea routes may be closed from where oil and gas is supplied to India. If there is any problem in the supply of LPG gas, it can directly impact the kitchens of restaurants, dhabas and hostels.

In case of less gas, the method of cooking may have to be changed in many places from your kitchen to the restaurant and changes may also be seen in the menu. In such a situation, the question arises that if the shortage of LPG increases, then which things may disappear from the menu first?

Will the bread disappear from the plate?

Due to shortage of LPG, rotis and chapattis are first affected. Each roti has to be cooked separately on the pan and sometimes it has to be fried directly on the fire. If food is served to hundreds of people every day in a restaurant or hostel, then a lot of gas is spent in making rotis.

deep fried food

If you are also fond of deep fried foods like puri, bhatura, pakoda and vada, then you may be in for a shock. Due to shortage of gas, you will not be able to taste these things, because to make them, oil has to be kept on high flame for a long time. To keep the oil hot, gas keeps burning continuously, due to which a lot of gas is wasted.

How much gas is spent on South Indian food?

Most people are fond of South Indian food. From Dosa to Uttapam, all these food items are healthy for the taste as well as the body, but since the LPG crisis is looming in the country, these food items may be missing from your menu. For these dishes, a big pan has to be kept hot continuously. Apart from this, dosa cooks slowly and requires constant flame to make it.

Rajma, chickpeas and gram

Vegetables like kidney beans, chickpeas and gram also take a long time to cook. Many times they have to be soaked first and then cooked for a long time in a pressure cooker or on low flame. For this reason, when there is shortage of gas, many hostels and canteens remove these dishes from the menu.

How can tea and coffee be affected?

LPG shortage can affect not only food but also drinks. To make tea and coffee, water and milk have to be boiled properly, due to which more gas is consumed.
