PSL 2026: West Indies player withdrew from Pakistan Super League, this is the reason

PSL 2026 Gudakesh Motie: Even before the start of Pakistan Super League 2026, something is happening due to which players are withdrawing their names from the tournament. Now West Indies left arm spinner Gudakesh Moti has withdrawn his name from PSL 2026. Moti was stranded in India after the T20 World Cup. Due to the Iran-America-Israel war, many flights were canceled due to which the West Indies team remained stuck in India for a long time and now this player has withdrawn his name from PSL.

Gudakesh Moti will not go to Pakistan

Gudakesh Moti was bought by Lahaul Qalandars for 1.10 crore Pakistan Rupees. But this player has now decided not to play in Pakistan Super League. According to the report of Cricinfo, Lahaul Qalandars have signed Sri Lankan left arm spinner Dunith Velalage in place of Moti. The reason why Moti withdrew from the tournament has not been revealed but according to reports, the player did not want to get into trouble again. All the flights in West Asia have been canceled and Moti does not want to get stuck in Pakistan the way he got stuck in India.

Blessing Muzarabani also left PSL

Gudakesh Moti is not the only player to withdraw his name from PSL. Zimbabwean fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani has also withdrawn his name from Islamabad United. This player will play in IPL for Kolkata Knight Riders. Muzarabani has joined Kolkata in place of Mustafizur Rahman. Muzarabani will join Kolkata Knight Riders on March 17. Mustafizur Rahman was thrown out of IPL after the India-Bangladesh dispute. After his exclusion, a separate controversy broke out in the T20 World Cup. Bangladesh demanded from the ICC to shift all its World Cup matches to Sri Lanka, which was not accepted and in the end the Bangladesh team had to be out of the T20 World Cup.
