Shillong Medical College Faculty Vacancy 2026: Shillong Medical College has invited applications for recruitment to various faculty positions. Recruitment to be Conducted for a Total of 34 Posts
This recruitment is being conducted under the aegis of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Meghalaya. A total of 34 appointments will be made for the positions of Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Senior Resident, and Tutor/Demonstrator. According to the information released by the Board, the posts of Professor and Associate Professor will be filled on a contractual basis, whereas the positions of Assistant Professor, Senior Resident, and Tutor/Demonstrator are reserved for in-service doctors currently working within the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Meghalaya.

Assistant Professor| Up to 70 years | MD/MS/DNB/DM/M.Ch or equivalent + 1 year of Senior Resident experience (Exempted for DM/M.Ch candidates) + Permanent registration with a State/Central Medical Council + Currently serving as a Medical Officer in the Meghalaya Health Department
Senior Resident | Up to 70 years | MD/MS/DNB in the relevant subject + Currently serving in the Meghalaya Department of Health and Family Welfare

Tutor / Demonstrator | Up to 70 years | MBBS Degree + Currently serving in the Meghalaya Department of Health and Family Welfare

What is the Salary?
Professor: Rs. 3,20,000 per month
Associate Professor: Rs. 2,60,000 per month
For other posts, an additional honorarium will be provided along with pay protection.

Selection Process
