A magnificent opportunity to secure a government job has emerged for the youth of Jharkhand state. The recruitment process has been initiated for a total of 772 posts under the Jharkhand Home Guard recruitment drive. Through this recruitment, Home Guard positions across both the rural and urban areas of the state will be filled. A key highlight of this recruitment is that candidates who have passed the 7th and 10th grades are eligible to apply, thereby providing employment opportunities to a large number of young people. The recruitment campaign encompasses a total of 772 posts. These include positions in both the 'Rural Home Guard' and 'Urban Home Guard' categories. A larger number of posts have been allocated for rural areas, while specific seats have also been designated for urban areas. This recruitment drive is being conducted with the objective of filling vacant positions across various districts of the state.

What are the Eligibility Criteria?

To apply for this recruitment, the educational qualifications required of candidates have been prescribed according to the specific posts. For the 'Rural Home Guard' post, it is mandatory for a candidate to have passed at least the 7th grade. Conversely, for the 'Urban Home Guard' post, passing the 10th grade is a mandatory requirement.

For male candidates, the minimum height requirement is set at 162 cm (157 cm for candidates belonging to reserved categories), and the chest measurement is set at 79 cm. The physical examination will comprise a 1-mile run, high jump, long jump, and shot put. Marks will be awarded based on performance in these events.

For female candidates, the minimum height requirement is set at 148 cm. They, too, will undergo tests involving a 1-mile run, high jump, long jump, and shot put, wherein marks will be allotted based on their performance.

Age Limit

The minimum age for applicants has been set at 19 years, while the maximum age limit is fixed at 40 years. Candidates belonging to reserved categories will be granted relaxation in the upper age limit in accordance with government regulations.

Application Fee

For this recruitment drive, candidates across all categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹200.
