In a wedding ceremony located about 65 kilometers from Jhansi, a bride, adorned in her wedding attire, eagerly awaited her groom. With all preparations complete, both the bride and groom were called to the stage for the 'Jaimala' ritual. However, to everyone's astonishment, the bride suddenly began hurling insults at the groom. She even slapped him, causing a stir among the guests present.

The chaos erupted when the bride received a tip-off during the ceremony that her fiancé was allegedly involved with another woman and had come to the wedding despite this affair. Initially skeptical, the bride became furious upon receiving evidence of the groom's infidelity and reacted impulsively in front of everyone.

In shock, the groom and his family quietly left the venue. Witnesses reported that the groom's family had previously demanded dowry and insisted on providing a car as part of the marriage agreement. Reports indicate that the wedding was arranged with a dowry of 6 lakh rupees and some jewelry. Despite claims of revering women in Indian society, many still view them as lesser beings. The greed of some individuals has led to a situation where marriages are treated as transactions involving money and valuables rather than genuine commitments.

Even the educated youth of today are falling prey to the lure of dowry. Daily, countless women face harassment for dowry demands, and many have tragically lost their lives as a result. In this context, the bride's bold stand against her groom sets a new precedent.
