Lucknow News: The Government of Uttar Pradesh remains committed to its resolve to conduct transparent and cheat-free examinations. In furtherance of this objective, the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, Prayagraj, has completed all necessary preparations for the Assistant Professor recruitment examination, scheduled to be held in four shifts on April 18 and 19, 2026.
The Commission's Chairman, Dr. Prashant Kumar (former IPS officer), conducted a comprehensive review of the preparations at 53 examination centers across six major districts of the state: Agra, Meerut, Lucknow, Prayagraj, Varanasi, and Gorakhpur. During the review, it was ascertained that the arrangements at all centers are fully in order, and the training of the staff has also been successfully completed.
**Surveillance via CCTV**
To uphold the integrity of the examination, all examination halls and critical areas have been equipped with CCTV cameras, which are linked to the respective District Control Rooms as well as the Commission's central Command and Control Center. The connectivity of these systems has been successfully tested at the Commission level, ensuring that every activity can be kept under strict surveillance.
**Where Have Observers Been Deployed?**
In each district, a member of the Commission has been appointed as an 'Observer' to visit the locations personally and monitor the arrangements on the ground. Specifically, Dr. Krishna Chandra Verma has been designated as the Observer for Gorakhpur; Dr. Harendra Kumar Rai for Prayagraj; Vimal Kumar Vishwakarma for Varanasi; Kirti Gautam for Agra; Prof. Radhakrishna for Meerut; and Yogendra Nath Singh for Lucknow. Additionally, teams from the district administration and the police force will conduct continuous inspections of the examination centers. Prohibitory orders will remain in force in the vicinity of the centers, and adequate police personnel will be deployed.
**Special Measures to Prevent Cheating**
In accordance with the directives of the Yogi government, a close watch will be kept on suspicious and anti-social elements. Strict legal action will be initiated against anyone found facilitating cheating or attempting to compromise the fairness of the examination. The use of any electronic devices, including mobile phones, will be strictly prohibited within the examination centers.
The Commission has appealed to the candidates to reach their respective examination centers on time and to strictly adhere to the instructions provided on their admit cards. Furthermore, while refraining from entertaining any rumors, please verify information solely through the Commission's official website, www.upessc.up.gov.in, and its ‘X’ handle, @upesscprayagraj. The Commission is firmly committed to conducting this examination in a completely transparent, impartial, and integrity-driven manner.
