Ahmedabad, 29 April 2026: In the Under-14 Inter Academy League match played at Apollo Cricket Ground, the GCI (Gujarat Cricket Institute) team performed impressively and defeated the Savita A team by 6 wickets. Dwight Shah’s half century and the sharp bowling of the bowlers became the fundamental factors in the victory.
In the match, Savita A won the toss and decided to bat first. The team scored 135 runs losing 8 wickets in the stipulated 35 overs. From the team, Vivaan Patel scored the highest unbeaten 48 runs (53 balls, 9 fours, 1 six) and brought the team’s score to a respectable position. Shivansh Vyas also contributed 21 runs. The pair of Arnav Desai and Shlok Patel bowled in a disciplined manner from GCI. Arnway took 3 wickets for just 9 runs in 7 overs, while Shlok Patel took 3 important wickets for 15 runs.
GCI team, chasing the target of 136 runs, achieved the target by scoring 136 runs after losing 4 wickets in just 21 overs. Captain Dwight Shah, batting aggressively, scored 50 runs with the help of 11 fours in just 33 balls. Arnav Desai (27 not out) and Abhiraj Patel (19 not out) finished the match. Ayush Vyas took 2 wickets for 24 runs from Savita A, but it was not enough to stop GCI from winning.
