Changes in fixed deposit interest rates (Bank FD Rates) continue in May also. ESAF Small Finance Bank has changed the interest rates for FDs less than Rs 3 crore. The new rates for general citizens and senior citizens will be applicable from May 1, 2026. The tenure of FD is minimum 7 days and maximum 10 years.
After the change, the bank is offering interest ranging from 2.75% to 7.75%. It is also providing additional interest facility to senior citizens (aged above 60 years). All banks keep changing the interest rates on fixed deposits from time to time. Therefore, before investing, customers are advised to visit the official website of the concerned bank or the nearest branch.
How much interest will senior citizens get?
According to the official website of the bank, senior citizens are getting 0.50% extra return on all tenures. Interest rates range from 3.25% to 8.25%. However, this facility will be available only to Indian citizens. The bank has clarified that these interest rates are also applicable on recurring deposits.
Highest return on tenure of so many days
The bank is offering the highest returns on tenure ranging from 2 years to less than 3 years. The interest rate for general citizens is 7.75% and for senior citizens is 8.25%. On tenure of 501 days, the bank is giving 7.50% interest to equal citizens and 8% interest to senior citizens. Whereas 7.25% interest is available on tenure of 502 days to less than 2 years and 7.25% interest is available on tenure of 1 year, 1 day to 500 days.

- 15 to 59 days – 3.25%
- 60 days to 90 days – 3.75%
- 91 days to 182 days – 4%
- From 183 days to 1 year – 4.75%
- One year to 500 days – 7.25%
- 501 days- 7.50%
- From 502 days to less than 2 years – 7.25%
- From 2 years to less than 3 years – 7.75%
- From 2 years to less than 5 years – 6%
- From 5 years to 10 years – 5.75%
- Senior Citizens – 0.50% extra interest
