Arsenal have once again been crowned champions of England after clinching the 2025–26 Premier League title.

The North London club ended a 22-year drought, lifting their first Premier League trophy since 2004. This triumph also makes Arsenal the first English team ever to win league titles across eight different decades, underlining their reputation as one of the great institutions of English football. The Gunners’ latest success marks their 14th top-flight crown, a total surpassed by only two other sides.

Both Liverpool and Manchester United hold the record for the most English top-flight titles, with each having been crowned champions 20 times.

Liverpool matched their long-standing rivals’ tally last season when they lifted the Premier League trophy under Arne Slot. Meanwhile, Manchester United’s 13 of 20 league victories came during the Premier League era, all secured under the legendary Sir Alex Ferguson.

That record means Ferguson alone has won more league titles as a manager than any English club other than Liverpool and Arsenal. However, Manchester United have not claimed a Premier League title since 2013.

Manchester City are the only other club to have reached double digits in top-flight successes. Eight of City’s ten titles have come since 2012, six of which were achieved under Pep Guardiola. The club also made history by becoming the first team ever to win four consecutive English league titles, accomplishing the feat between 2020 and 2024.
