RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomande continues to draw significant transfer interest following an outstanding Bundesliga season, though his current focus remains firmly on international duty.

Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are both keeping tabs on the 19-year-old as he prepares to represent Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup. Reports have connected Diomande with Liverpool as a potential long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is widely expected to leave Anfield this summer. Despite the growing speculation, Diomande has delegated all transfer negotiations to his representatives, choosing instead to concentrate on his national team responsibilities. “My future? I have a team that takes care of that,” Diomande explained. The winger is determined not to let off-field discussions affect his preparations with the Ivory Coast squad.

While the youngster has openly spoken about his affection for PSG, he emphasises that his immediate goal is to achieve success with his national team rather than finalising any club move before the tournament begins.

“I try to stay as focused as possible. I've loved PSG since I was a kid. I think my father was a PSG fan. But I’m not thinking about the future right now — my focus is on the World Cup. We’ll see what happens after that,” Diomande stated.

His impressive league campaign has naturally heightened interest from Europe’s elite clubs. During the 2025-26 Bundesliga season, the winger contributed directly to 20 goals — scoring 12 and providing eight assists across 33 matches — placing him among the division’s most productive attacking players.

Only Harry Kane, Michael Olise, Luis Diaz, Deniz Undav and Christoph Baumgartner managed more combined goals and assists. Diomande also led the Bundesliga in completed dribbles and carries ending with take-ons, underlining why top teams like Liverpool and PSG view him as a vital target for the future.

Diomande also topped the Bundesliga charts with 118 successful dribbles — the highest in the league — and 104 carries that ended in take-ons. These impressive metrics highlight his direct and high-intensity playing style, qualities that clubs like Liverpool and PSG prize when shaping future attacking line-ups.

Although Diomande’s transfer situation continues to attract attention from top European sides, his current story revolves around the World Cup.
