Agniveer Apprentice Recruitment 2026: Naval Headquarters, New Delhi, has released the notification for Agniveer (Apprentice) recruitment batches 01/2027 and 02/2027. Only unmarried Indian males are eligible to apply. This recruitment will be conducted via the INET 2/2026 examination. **Eligibility Criteria for Application?**
For this recruitment, candidates must have passed Class 10 from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks. Additionally, candidates must possess a 3-year diploma from an AICTE-recognized polytechnic institute, with a minimum of 50% marks. For the Engineering stream, candidates must hold a diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Marine Engineering, Production, Electronics, Mechatronics, Metallurgy, Instrumentation, or similar technical disciplines. For the Electrical stream, candidates must possess a diploma in subjects such as Electrical, Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation, or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Age Limit: For the Agniveer (A trainee) 01/2027 batch, the date of birth of candidates must fall between December 1, 2004, and May 31, 2009. Meanwhile, for the 02/2027 batch, the date of birth must be between May 1, 2005, and October 31, 2009. This age limit applies to both batches, and only eligible candidates may apply.

Selection Process
The selection process will be conducted in two stages. In the first stage, candidates will be selected based on the Indian Navy Entrance Test (INET 2/2026). This stage will include a Physical Fitness Test (PFT), a Stage-II written examination, and a recruitment medical examination. Subsequently, a state-wise merit list will be prepared. The final medical formalities for candidates selected in the final stage will be completed at INS Chilka.
