Instagram has released a new feature called "Reorder Grid." This feature allows you to rearrange the posts on your profile—moving them around—to suit your preference. Here are all the details.
Instagram has rolled out the new "Reorder Grid" feature. With this tool, you can now reposition the photos and videos on your profile however you like. If you have an old Instagram post that is particularly interesting or engaging, you can use this new feature to move it to the very top. This differs from Instagram's existing "Pin" feature; while the Pin feature lets you fix three favorite posts at the top (with the latest posts appearing below them), the Reorder Grid feature allows you to place any post—new or old—anywhere you choose. For instance, if you want a post to appear after two rows, you can simply drag it down. Let’s look at the details.
Instagram frequently introduces new features for its users. The "Reorder Grid" feature is the latest addition to this list, enabling you to move any photo or video forward or backward within the grid. This feature gives users control over how their profile looks, allowing them to customize the layout. Consequently, the posts displayed in the grid will appear according to the user's preference rather than strictly by date.
It is worth noting that Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, had announced this feature a year ago, when the company was still working on it. Now, after about a year, the company has finally officially rolled it out. While the feature has been released globally, it may take some time to reach everyone; however, Techlusive has already received the feature on an iPhone.
How to use the Instagram Reorder Grid feature
1. First, open Instagram on your smartphone.
2. Next, go to your profile.
3. Here, press and hold the Instagram post you wish to move around within the grid.
4. You will now see a new "Reorder Grid" option in the pop-up menu.
5. Once you click on "Reorder Grid," you can drag the post and position it anywhere within the grid.
The changes will be reflected on your grid immediately, showing the post exactly where you dragged and dropped it. This new feature will be particularly useful for creators, photographers, artists, brands, and small businesses. You can now arrange your posts on the grid based on your style, latest projects, or key posts, rather than strictly by date.
