Ingredients to make Paneer Tikka
- 20-25 pieces of cheese
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsp Kashmiri red chilli powder
- 2 tsp red chilli powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 cup curd
- ½ tsp celery
- 1 tsp kasoori methi
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp black salt
- 1 tsp mango powder
- 1 onion (cut into pieces)
- 1 capsicum (cut into pieces)
- juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tsp mustard oil
- Skewer or thin wooden skewer
Do marination like this
First of all, add curd, ginger-garlic paste, salt and all the spices in a big bowl and mix well. After this add cheese, onion and capsicum and coat the spices well.
Now add lemon juice and mustard oil to it and mix well again. This will make the taste of paneer even better.
grilling method
Place marinated paneer, onion and capsicum one by one on the skewers. Apply light oil on top and keep them in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes so that the spices get absorbed properly.
After this, preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius and grill the skewers for about 20 minutes. If you do not have an oven, a grill pan or griddle can also be used on gas.
method of serving
Sprinkle some chaat masala on the prepared paneer tikka and serve hot with onion rings, green chutney and lemon.
