Arsenal appear to be gearing up for a hectic summer of departures, with reports suggesting that the club is open to offers for several senior players as Mikel Arteta looks to reshape his title-winning side. According to The Athletic, the Gunners could consider bids for Gabriel Jesus, Christian Norgaard, and Fabio Vieira during the upcoming transfer window.
This seems an appropriate time for Arsenal to make such calls. The team’s overall quality has grown significantly in recent seasons, but retaining too many players who are not guaranteed regular football can create challenges in managing wages, maintaining squad harmony, and generating funds for new signings.
After lifting the Premier League trophy this season, Arteta is keen to fine-tune his squad and bring in players who can elevate the team further in the 2026–27 campaign.
Gabriel Jesus, who joined from Manchester City in 2022, initially added energy, pressing intensity, and valuable experience. However, persistent injury setbacks and fluctuating performances have cast some doubt over his long-term role at the Emirates Stadium.
With Arsenal expected to bolster their attacking options in the coming months, the Brazilian’s departure could become a realistic scenario if an acceptable offer is tabled.
Christian Norgaard’s case is somewhat different. The midfielder, who arrived from Brentford in 2025, was seen more as a short-term option to provide depth rather than a long-term cornerstone of Arteta’s project. If Arsenal can secure a satisfactory transfer fee, a quick sale could be on the cards.
Fabio Vieira also remains a name under consideration. Having struggled to cement a regular place in north London, the Portuguese playmaker spent the 2025–26 campaign on loan at Hamburg, seeking more consistent minutes and form.
Arsenal’s approach this summer is not driven by panic or desperation. Instead, it reflects a strategic push for renewal — a willingness to make tough decisions at the right time. At this stage, every player on the fringes must either deliver consistent performances or make room for others who can.
Should Arsenal successfully offload players who are no longer integral to their plans, it would provide the financial flexibility and roster space needed to pursue top targets and construct a squad capable of challenging on multiple fronts next season.
The Gunners have already been linked with several high-profile names, with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers reportedly among the players admired by the north London club. If negotiations progress smoothly, Arsenal could be ready to make a substantial investment to bring him in.
