Been using a phone number for a long time. Suddenly it stopped. The reason could be many things but the inevitable thing is that there must be a problem. Although some take a new SIM card without giving special importance to the matter. You forget the old number with a new SIM, but here lies the danger. Because, telecom companies reactivate the closed number within 45 to 90 days. In that case, the ownership of your old number goes to someone else. As a result that person can get all your OTP. Due to which you may face serious problems, the account may be empty. Let’s find out what to do in this case.
1. Currently, phone number is used to log in to various apps including mail, payment. After getting a new number, first log in to all apps with it. But first change the number in Aadhaar card. Then to the bank.
2. Just adding new numbers is not enough. Wherever the old number was used, delete it.
3. Turn off SMS based verification.
৪. Apps like Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator generate codes directly on your device. Note that these do not depend on your phone number.
5. Remember that your old number should not remain anywhere even in case of backup or recovery.
