The following is the broadcast time and schedule for the Brazil vs Morocco match in the opening fixture of Group C at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be aired live on TVRI in the morning.

The Brazil vs Morocco match will be broadcast live on TVRI on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at 06:00 WITA or 05:00 WIB.

In addition to the free live broadcast on TVRI, the Brazil vs Morocco match can also be streamed live on paid platforms MaxStream and FolaPlay.

Former Barito Putera player Ronnie Von De Carvalho, who hails from Brazil, is eagerly awaiting his beloved national team’s performance in this quadrennial event.

It’s no surprise that the former player, now a naturalised Indonesian citizen, is backing the Selecao to lift the 2026 World Cup trophy.

His confidence stems from the influence of head coach Carlo Ancelotti, who is managing Brazil at the World Cup for the first time.

Ronnie described Neymar as his favourite player, considering his return a vital boost to Brazil’s strength.

According to the Liverpool, AC Milan, and Barcelona supporter, Brazil are highly motivated to reclaim the title after a long drought.

Neymar’s comeback is seen as a source of inspiration for the Brazilian squad to work harder in pursuit of the trophy.

However, he acknowledges that several other teams remain strong contenders for the championship.

Former Barito Putera Coach Idolises Neymar

Like Ronnie, former Barito Putera coach Jacksen F Tiago, also born in Brazil, has placed his confidence in Brazil’s chances.

The former Indonesia national team coach unsurprisingly named Brazil as his favourite team to win the tournament.

“Brazil are my favourites to win the title,” said Jacksen.

For the coach, now working with a youth team in Samarinda, Brazil is not just a team—it’s his homeland.

“Brazil is my country and the most successful in World Cup history,” Jacksen added.

Before moving to Indonesia as a professional footballer, Jacksen played for several clubs in Brazil.

After retiring, he became a naturalised Indonesian citizen.

When asked about his favourite player, Jacksen immediately named Neymar as his idol.

He believes this World Cup could be Neymar’s final chance to achieve greatness, stating that both Brazil and football itself need his brilliance.

Neymar may no longer enter this World Cup as the untouchable football prince he once was.

The five-time world champions, Brazil, will open their Group C campaign against African powerhouse Morocco at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

The Selecao are determined to redeem themselves after their quarter-final exit in Qatar four years ago.

The Atlas Lions, meanwhile, face a major challenge as they aim to replicate their historic semi-final run.

Match Preview

History was made in May 2025 when the Brazilian Football Federation appointed Carlo Ancelotti as their first-ever foreign head coach.

The 67-year-old Italian tactician now embraces a fresh challenge on the international stage after a decorated club career spanning three decades.

Brazil remain the most successful nation in World Cup history, having played more matches (114), won more games (74), and claimed more titles (five) than any other country.

They are also the only nation to have appeared in every edition of the tournament since its inception in 1930.

However, they have not lifted the prestigious golden trophy since 2002.

The current 24-year title drought matches their previous barren spell between 1970 and 1994, which ended triumphantly on American soil.

The Selecao had to fight hard to secure qualification for this expanded 48-team World Cup, recording eight wins, four draws, and six losses from 18 CONMEBOL qualifiers to finish fifth and secure one of six automatic spots.

Brazil suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to Bolivia in their final qualifier and also lost to Japan (3-2) and France (2-1) in friendlies since October.

However, under Ancelotti’s guidance, they won their last three matches against Croatia, Panama, and Egypt with an aggregate score of 11-4.

Ranked fifth in the world by FIFA, Brazil head into Saturday’s clash having won seven of their eight World Cup encounters against African teams, the only loss being a 1-0 defeat to Cameroon in Qatar 2022. Leading bookmakers have made the Selecao firm favourites to progress from Group C.

Four years after becoming the first African nation to reach a World Cup semi-final, Morocco are set for their seventh appearance on football’s biggest stage and are widely viewed as one of the tournament’s dark horses.

Interestingly, Morocco’s first three World Cup appearances were in Mexico (1970 and 1986) and the United States (1994)—two of the co-hosts this summer.

They reached the Round of 16 in 1986 but failed to win a match in the 1994 edition on American soil.

The Atlas Lions have evolved into a formidable footballing force in recent years, recording 33 wins, 10 draws, and only two losses in 45 matches since early 2023. They currently sit seventh in the FIFA rankings, ahead of powerhouses such as the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany.

Walid Regragui deserves immense credit for Morocco’s remarkable resurgence. His side cruised through the CAF qualifiers with eight wins from eight matches and were controversially crowned Africa Cup of Nations champions earlier this year after Senegal were stripped of their title following a chaotic final.

However, Regragui resigned less than 100 days before the World Cup, with former U-23 coach Mohamed Ouahbi taking over the senior side. Under Ouahbi, Morocco have recorded three wins and two draws, most recently sharing the spoils with Norway (1-1) last weekend.

Morocco aim to progress beyond the group stage in consecutive World Cups for the first time, entering Saturday’s match against Brazil having lost two of their previous three meetings but winning their most recent encounter 2-1 in a friendly in March 2023.

Brazil’s all-time top scorer, Neymar, is still recovering from a grade-two calf injury and is not expected to feature on Saturday.

Right-back Wesley has been ruled out of the tournament with a muscle injury sustained in the friendly win over Egypt.

Midfielder Ederson, soon to join Manchester United, was a late call-up and has reportedly been tested in the right-back role during training. Danilo and Roger Ibanez are the other right-back options available to Ancelotti.

Premier League trio Alisson Becker, Gabriel Magalhaes, and Bruno Guimaraes are set to start alongside Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior and Barcelona’s Raphinha. Ancelotti will decide between Matheus Cunha, Endrick, or Igor Thiago for the central striker role.

For Morocco, centre-back Nayef Aguerd (groin injury) and winger Abde Ezzalzouli (knee injury) will miss the World Cup and have been replaced by Marwane Saadane of Al Fateh and Amine Sbai of Angers. Ezzalzouli sustained his injury in the Norway friendly, while Noussair Mazraoui was substituted with a shoulder issue, though his injury is not believed to be serious and his availability will be assessed closer to kick-off.

Captain Achraf Hakimi and Brahim Diaz are expected to start for Morocco. Diaz scored his 14th international goal in 26 appearances against Norway and may form part of a fluid attacking trio alongside Ismael Saibari and Bayern Munich target Bilal El Khannouss.

Probable Line-ups

Brazil (4-2-3-1): Alisson Becker; Danilo, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhaes, Alex Sandro; Casemiro, Bruno Guimaraes; Raphinha, Cunha, Vinicius Junior; Thiago.
