Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited Pauri Garhwal on Monday. During this, he inaugurated the modern science museum located on Srinagar Road, the district headquarters, which has been constructed by the district administration. Apart from this, he also inaugurated the Kandoliya Mahotsav organized at Ramlila Maidan. He also gifted 19 development schemes costing Rs 110.55 crore to the district. In which the foundation stone of 14 schemes was laid and 5 schemes were inaugurated.
The Chief Minister also gave information about science-based activities and experimental teaching arrangements developed in the Science Museum. On this occasion, he appreciated the efforts made to promote scientific thinking and innovation among the students. Visited the museum and also observed interactive models, scientific exhibits, and modern equipment based on different scientific principles. Also interacted with students of different schools.
CM Dhami said, “The District Science Museum will not just be an exhibition space, but this museum will work as a modern science teaching and innovation center for students and youth. Here children will be able to understand science directly through experiments and activities instead of limiting it to books only.”
Kandolia Pauri Festival inaugurated
The Chief Minister performed formal puja at the Kandoliya temple. Also wished for the happiness, prosperity and prosperity of the people of the state. He also inaugurated the Kandoliya Pauri Mahotsav at Ramlila Maidan. He also announced to develop this festival as a state festival under the government programme.
During this, the Chief Minister said, “Kandolia Mahotsav is a powerful medium to give a new identity to the rich cultural heritage, folk traditions and young talents of Uttarakhand.”
Announcement of 19 development projects
CM Dhami has announced 19 development projects in Pauri. He said, “Today a new chapter has been added in the development of the district. 19 development schemes at a cost of about Rs 110 crore have been inaugurated and the foundation stone has been laid. These projects will work to strengthen the infrastructure of the area as well as bring positive changes in the lives of the common people.” Further, he also discussed the development works and decisions taken by the state government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Which includes Chardham Yatra, House of Himalaya, One District-Two Product Scheme, Millet Mission, New Tourism and Film Policy, Self-Employment and Homestay Schemes.
Referring to the various development projects being conducted in Pauri and Srinagar areas, the Chief Minister said, “The projects to the state’s first NCC Academy, NIT campus, Ganga Culture Centre, Singtali bridge, Pauri-Srinagar road widening, lake construction, driving test track and sports infrastructure will provide a new direction to the development of the area and will also increase the possibilities of employment and tourism.” On this occasion, MLA Rajkumar Pori, Dalip Singh Rawat, District Panchayat President Rachna Butola, Municipality President Himani Negi and many leaders and officials were also present.
