According to the information given through the official X (Twitter) handle of PM Kisan Yojana, the government will 20 June 2026 An installment of Rs 2,000 is going to be transferred directly to the bank accounts of more than 9 crore farmers of the country. Let us tell you that earlier the government had released the 22nd installment of the scheme on 13 March 2026. The main objective of this scheme is to help the small and marginal farmers of the country in the expenses to farming and to strengthen their economic condition. Today, it has become one of the largest Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes in the country.
Farmers get full ₹6,000 every year
Under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, the government provides financial assistance of Rs 6,000 annually to eligible farmers. This amount is sent directly to the bank accounts of farmers in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 each at an interval of every four months. With this money received from the government, farmers are able to easily meet their agricultural needs like seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and irrigation on time. This scheme, started in the year 2019, has proved to be a major economic support for the rural areas of the country in the last seven years.
The government had released billions of rupees in the last installment
If we talk about the previous i.e. 22nd installment, at that time the government had transferred a huge amount of Rs 18,640 crore to the accounts of about 9.32 crore farmers of the country. The biggest feature of this scheme is that due to the use of digital technology in it, there is no role of middlemen or brokers. The entire money reaches directly into the bank account of the beneficiary farmer. The government is continuously taking new steps to keep this entire system transparent.

The government has made it clear in a strict tone that the amount of 23rd installment will not be sent to the accounts of farmers whose e-KYC is incomplete. It is very easy to complete the e-KYC process. For this, first of all you have to go to the official website of PM Kisan Yojana. There on the homepage you will see the option of “e-KYC”, on which you have to click. After this your [Aadhaar Redacted] Enter the number and fill the OTP received on your registered mobile number in the empty box. Once the information is verified, your e-KYC will be successfully submitted. If OTP is not coming on your mobile, then you can easily get it done through biometric verification by visiting your nearest Common Service Center (CSC) or Jan Seva Kendra.

To check whether your e-KYC is completed or not, first visit the official website of PM Kisan. After this, click on the option “Know Your Status” given on the homepage. Now enter your registration number and captcha code shown on the screen. As soon as you submit it, a new page will open in front of you, where you can easily see the current status of your e-KYC.
