On Wednesday, Aditya Thackeray, a leader of Shiv Sena (UBT), expressed his hope for "justice" amidst ongoing political upheaval. This statement was made following the announcement by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, who convened a meeting of Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs in light of the recent factional split within the party. The meeting is scheduled for 5 PM and comes after six MPs officially joined the faction led by Eknath Shinde. This event has been referred to as "Operation Tiger."

MPs Arvind Sawant and Anil Desai from Shiv Sena (UBT) are set to present their case to the Speaker, demanding that the rebel faction of MPs not be recognized.

While discussing the situation, Aditya Thackeray reiterated his belief in the possibility of justice.

Previously, Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut intensified his criticism against the rebel MPs, calling for a fight against the "traitors of Maharashtra," which has heightened political tensions within the party. The Speaker's intervention comes at a time when uncertainty looms over the status of six Lok Sabha MPs—Sanjay Haribhau Jadhav, Bhausaheb Rajaram Wakchoure, Omprakash Bhupalsingh Nimbalkar, Sanjay Dina Patil, Sanjay Uttamrao Deshmukh, and Nagesh Bapurao Patil Ashtikar—who have joined Eknath Shinde's faction.

In addition, Aditya Thackeray criticized the BJP for its handling of civic issues during the heavy monsoon rains in Mumbai. Speaking to reporters, he accused the BJP of prioritizing "contractors and builders" over the needs of citizens, particularly in response to flooding in the city. He also referenced a recent inspection of waterlogged areas by Mumbai's Mayor Ritu Tawde, suggesting that her concerns lie more with Dhaka than with Mumbai.

Thackeray stated, "The BJP is only concerned about contractors and builders, not the common citizens during the rains. You must have noticed that even with the first rain, Mumbai was flooded. The BJP has done just one thing: the Mayor's entire focus was on Dhaka, Bangladesh, while she forgot about Mumbai."

Furthermore, Thackeray responded to the proposal to rename Mumbai's KEM Hospital, alleging that the BJP harbors resentment towards institutions tied to Mumbai's heritage. He remarked that anyone who praises or serves Mumbai seems to incur the BJP's displeasure, indicating that many BJP legislators lack a genuine connection to Mumbai or Maharashtra.
