Predictions are in place for thunderstorms, lightning and intense rainfall, and gusty winds for Mumbai, Pune, Thane, and Palghar, as the southwest monsoon strengthens over the region.Roads floodedMost of the city reported over 200 mm of rainfall on Tuesday night. This resulted in flooded roads and disruptions in train services. As per officials, parts of the city received over 200 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending at 8 AM. Commuters face delays on major roads while civic agencies are continuously working to clear flooded stretches. For explorers in the city, this means airport transfers and sightseeing schedules may take considerably longer than expected.
