LIC Launches New WhatsApp Premium Payment Service
To make things easier for customers, LIC has launched a WhatsApp-based service. Now, by sending a message to the WhatsApp number 8976862090, customers can get all the details from the insurance company. Premiums can now be paid through UPI, offering customers a fast and simple alternative. This online service, available through a chatbot, will give great relief to policyholders.
How to Use LIC’s WhatsApp Service?
As per LIC, to start the process, customers need to send “Hi” to the number 8976862090 on WhatsApp. After that, a chatbot will be activated and show several options to LIC services. The customer has to select the required option, such as premium payment for a particular policy. A link will then be shared in the chat.
Steps to Pay Premium through WhatsApp
- Click on the link sent by the chatbot.
- A new page will open.
- Enter your policy number on that page.
- Upload your PAN card image (JPG or JPEG format).
- Visit the LIC website –
- If you’re not registered, create a new account.
- Log in using your user ID and password to complete the process.
