Big news has come out for WhatsApp users. According to reports, WhatsApp is working on a new Logout feature in its Android beta version, which will give users the option to log in from their account on the primary device as well. Till now, users had to either delete the account or uninstall the app to take a break from WhatsApp.
Three options will be available in the Logout feature
This feature was first seen by Android Authority and AssembleDebug in the teardown of WhatsApp Beta for Android 2.25.17.37. This option was seen under the Settings > Account section. Users will get three options while logging out.
One of which is Erase all Data & Preferences. This will delete all WhatsApp chats and data from your phone. Keep all Data & Preferences, by choosing this option you will be logged out of WhatsApp, but all chats, media, and files will remain safe in the phone. You will be able to access everything again as soon as you log in again. Cancel, by selecting this the process will be canceled and you will remain in the app.
What is the specialty of this feature?
This option can be very useful for users who want to take a break from WhatsApp for some time. Till now, apps like WhatsApp do not have a logout option, which makes it difficult to take a break. This feature will allow you to exit the account without deleting the data.
When will it be rolled out?
Although no official date has been revealed yet for the launch of this new Logout feature, it is believed that it will be made available to beta testers first. Only after this, it will be released for all users in the stable version.
