
News India Live, Digital Desk: According to DD News report, Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is likely to start EPFO 3.0 in June 2025. A major feature of this upgrade is the expected beginning of UPI and ATM-based withdrawal, which can manage PF accounts and make access to them much faster and convenient than ever.
The EPFO 3.0 is a new digital platform designed to make services faster and easier for EPF account holders. It is supported by advanced IT system and will allow users to do important tasks more easily such as withdrawing money or updating account details. This initiative is part of the widespread effort of the Ministry of Labor to make financial services simple and digital for both salaried employees and people in the sector.
Use UPI and ATM to reach your EPF: what to expect
Although complete information has not been revealed yet, the PF accounts are expected to be connected to the UPI and ATM network in EPFO 3.0. Soon the subscribers will be able to remove their eligible EPF funds directly by using safe methods like PIN or Aadhaar verification through the UPI app or bank ATM. The withdrawal limit and security rules are likely to be implemented for the protection of your funds.
When will EPFO 3.0 be launched and what are the expectations next?
According to DD News report, EPFO 3.0 is expected to begin in June 2025, although its launch date has not yet been officially confirmed. The launch can start with pilot tests in select areas before detail across the country. Once fully implemented, upgrade can benefit more than 6 crore EPF account holders across India.
EPFO pension access from any bank branch
From January 1, 2025, Pensioners will be able to get their pension from any bank branch across India under the Employees Pension Scheme (EPS) 1995. This means that retired people will not be bound by a particular branch and will be able to get their pension from any bank place, which will make the process more flexible and convenient.
