Indian Railways is going to take a big and effective steps to curb this big problem and the fraud of ticket brokers. How will this new system work?

  1. QR Code Scan: TTE will scan the QR code made on your Aadhaar card from the Maadhaar app present in your phone.

  2. Immediate verification: As soon as you scan, your complete information like your name, photo, date of birth and gender UIDAI will come directly on TTE’s mobile screen.

  3. Fraud impossible: This will immediately know whether the name and the person traveling on the ticket is the same or not. Photoshop or fake Aadhaar cards will no longer be of any use.

Why this system needed?

Till now TTE had to rely on the ID card shown by the passengers. Many fraudsters used to make fake Aadhaar cards or other IDs with the help of photoshops, which were difficult to identify at first sight. Apart from this, ticket brokers also booked tickets in the name of others and sold it at expensive prices. This new system will eliminate all such fraud from the root.

Where did this system start?

At the moment, this system Prayagraj division of North Central Railway It has been started as a trial. The TTE here is being trained. After this trial succeeds, it will be implemented in a phased manner across the country.

What does this mean for passengers?

This simply means that now it can be mandatory for you to keep your real Aadhaar card (or Maadhaar App) in the phone during the journey in the train. This step will make the journey even more safe and convenient for real travelers, as it will easily identify the wrong people and prevent black marketing of tickets.
