Tragic Incident in Jharkhand
The death of a 24-year-old female passenger in Jharkhand, who fell from a moving train, has been confirmed as a murder rather than an accident, according to police officials.
Authorities identified the suspect as Mahadev Singh, who has since been apprehended. Ranveer Singh, the officer in charge of the Chandwa police station, reported that the body of Juhi Devi was discovered near the Tori-Chetar station in the Latehar district on Thursday.
Mahadev initially filed a report at the Dhurki police station in his home district of Garhwa, claiming that his wife had accidentally fallen from the train. However, Singh noted that the Government Railway Police (GRP) later transferred the case to the district police.
During interrogation, Mahadev confessed to pushing his wife from the moving train, leading to her death. He explained that the motive behind the murder stemmed from a family dispute. The local court has since placed the accused in judicial custody.
