Lucknow. The case of indecency with a storyteller and his companions in Etawah has become a big issue. Opposition party leaders have started targeting the government over this. SP President Akhilesh Yadav held a press conference on this matter on Monday and also met the victim storytellers.
Akhilesh Yadav said that the dominant and influential people are constantly scaring and threatening the people of the PDA family. The Bhagwat Katha is for everyone, when everyone can listen then why can’t everyone speak. Some dominant people want to maintain their monopoly in the recitation of the Katha.
He further said, if there is so much aversion towards PDA community then it should be declared that the traditional story tellers will never accept the offerings, donations, charity given by the PDA community. In BJP rule, the PDA community is looked down upon. Even the President of the country has faced contempt. The truth is that as consciousness and awareness is increasing in the PDA community, atrocities on the PDA community are increasing to create psychological pressure.
If BJP feels that only a particular community has the right to narrate stories, then it should make a law for this as well. The day PDA community starts narrating its story separately, the empire of these traditional powers will collapse. If BJP goes, we will all be at peace.
