2025 TVS Apache RTR 160 2V launched at 1.34 lakh: Here’s what’s new

TVS Motor Company today launched the new and updated 2025 TVS Apache RTR 160 2V motorcycle in the Indian market. The motorcycle now meets the latest OBD-2B emission standardsand TVS has also added dual-channel ABS, a notable addition and a standout safety feature in this segment. Pricing for the updated motorcycle begins at Rs 1.34 lakh (ex-showroom). In comparison, the new model is about Rs 4,000 more expensive than the previous model’s top-spec Racing Edition. Interested customers can book the bike online or by visiting their nearest dealer. Deliveries are expected to begin soon.In terms of design, there are no changes made except for red painted alloy wheels. It continues to get a simple yet sporty, aggressive design with a sharp-looking LED headlamp with DRLs. Other highlights include the sculpted fuel tank, split seat setup, edgy tank extensions, slim LED tail light with a tidy tail section, flush-mounted turn indicators and a blacked-out exhaust further. The bike is now also available in two colour options – Matte Black and Pearl White.

Features-wise, it gets a digital instrument cluster with TVS SmartXonnect, bringing Bluetooth connectivity and a suite of features such as turn-by-turn navigation, voice assist, call and SMS alerts, crash notifications and more. At the front, it gets telescopic front forks and gas-charged rear shock absorbers. Braking duties are handled by a 270mm disc up front, while the rear offers either a 130mm drum or a 200mm disc, depending on the variant. The bike rides on 17-inch wheels with a 90/90 front tyre and a 110/80 rear, although the Disc BT variant gets a wider 120/70 rear tyre. Talking about the engine, it gets a 160cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, 2-valve engine that delivers 15.82 bhp of power and 13.85 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
