The untimely demise of actress Shefali Jariwala at age 42 has left the entertainment world and her fans in disbelief. Known affectionately as the “Kaanta Laga” girl, Shefali passed away on June 27, reportedly due to a heart attack. Though she led a health-focused lifestyle and was seizure-free for two decades after battling epilepsy as a teen, the exact cause of death remains unclear.

Horoscope Prediction from 2024 Podcast Gains Attention

Amid the collective mourning, an old video from a 2024 episode of the Abraa ka Dabra Show has resurfaced on social media. Hosted by Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Paras Chhabra, the podcast featured a detailed analysis of Shefali’s horoscope. During the conversation, Paras issued a startling warning about the alignment of planets in her birth chart.

“In your 8th house, Moon, Mercury and Ketu are positioned. The combination of Moon and Ketu is considered one of the worst. The 8th house also represents loss, sudden death, fame, hidden mysteries and matters related to tantra,” said Chhabra.

He added, “For you, the presence of Moon and Ketu is already inauspicious, and now Mercury is also sitting with them. This points to anxiety and neurological problems.”

In the same clip, he recommended that Shefali visit spiritual places and natural landscapes. “Go to the mountains whenever you feel anxious and stressed… Visit Mata Rani temples and Jyotirlingas,” he advised.

Viral Birthday Dance Video with Prithvi Shaw surfaces

Just as fans processed the resurfaced podcast, another video went viral—this time featuring Shefali dancing alongside Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw. The clip was from Shaw’s 25th birthday celebration on November 9, 2024. Also seen in the video were Shefali’s husband Parag Tyagi and Shaw’s rumored ex-girlfriend Nidhi Tapadia, suggesting a friendly connection between the two.

The setting appears casual and cheerful, with everyone dancing among friends. The video has now taken on a more emotional tone, being widely shared in tribute.

Shefali’s final days

In early June 2025, Shefali had posted photos from Melbourne Cricket Ground, though it is unclear whether it was for leisure or a work-related visit. Her last rites were held on June 28 at Mumbai’s Oshiwara Crematorium, performed by her husband Parag Tyagi, who requested privacy and prayers from the media and public.

Among those offering condolences was cricketer Shikhar Dhawan. “बहुत जल्दी अलविदा कह गईं, शेफाली जरीवाला. भगवान आपकी आत्मा को शांति दे. प्रार्थनाएं हैं कि इस मुश्किल समय में भगवान उनके परिवार को ताकत दें,” he shared on social media.

Shefali Jariwala’s passing has reopened conversations around mental health, astrology, and the unpredictability of life—even for those who appeared vibrant, healthy, and full of life.
