
Raids Target Assistant Executive Engineer in Odisha
In Bhubaneswar, vigilance officials executed coordinated raids on Saturday at seven different locations linked to Susil Kumar Panda, an Assistant Executive Engineer from Ganjam, amid allegations of holding Disproportionate Assets (DA).
According to sources from the Vigilance department, the operation was led by a team comprising six deputy superintendents of police (DSPs), seven inspectors, and additional personnel, all acting under search warrants issued by the Special Judge for Vigilance in Berhampur.
The searches spanned across Ganjam and Puri districts, where the Vigilance team reportedly discovered numerous assets registered under Panda and his family members' names.
Among the findings were a three-story building located in Ram Hari Nagar, a 2-BHK flat in Mukteshwar Apartment in Ankuli, a 1-BHK flat in Puri, six valuable plots in Bhubaneswar, Khurda, and Berhampur, as well as cash amounting to Rs 2,05,000.
Vigilance officials indicated that they are currently measuring, valuing, and assessing the properties, including the buildings and plots.
They also mentioned that bank accounts, deposits, and other financial investments are under scrutiny, with one bank locker at the Central Cooperative Bank in Berhampur, jointly held by Panda and his wife, still unopened.
