Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal has landed in legal trouble after a woman from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, accused him of exploitation and harassment under the false promise of marriage. The allegations, which include mental, physical, and financial abuse, have been formally lodged through the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister’s online grievance portal (IGRS), and the CM office has now directed the Ghaziabad police to investigate the matter.
Accusations on DayalThe woman, reportedly in a five-year relationship with the 27-year-old cricketer, has claimed that Dayal misled her with the assurance of marriage. According to her statement filed in the First Information Report (FIR), she was emotionally, mentally, and physically exploited. She alleged that Dayal introduced her to his family, presented her as his would-be wife, and made her trust him completely.
However, the woman, whose identity is not yet known, confronted Dayal only to be met with alleged physical violence and continued mental harassment. The complaint also states that Dayal borrowed money from her on several occasions during their relationship and never returned it. She further accused him of engaging in similar exploitative relationships with other women in the past, according to India Today.
Proofs provided against RCB pacerThe woman has submitted proof to support her allegations, including chat logs, screenshots, video call records, and photographs. She initially approached the Women's Helpline (181) on June 14, 2025, but claimed that no substantial progress was made at the police station level. With no developments, she escalated the matter to the Chief Minister's office. The Chief Minister's office has now sought a report from the Circle Officer (CO) of Indirapuram, and the police have been given a deadline of July 21 to complete their inquiry.
The cricketer, a native of Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, has represented the state in all domestic formats and made headlines during IPL 2025 by playing an important role in RCB's historic title-winning campaign, picking 13 wickets in 15 innings. Before joining RCB, he was part of the Gujarat Titans squad for two seasons. Currently, there has been no official response from Dayal or any of his representatives regarding the allegations.
