In the latest update on Yash Dayal's sexual harassment case, India Today, have reported that the Circle Officer (CO) of Indirapuram has been asked to submit a report by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister's office, and police have been given time till 21 July to resolve the matter involving the high-profile cricketer.

India Today, in its report, citing their source stated that the FIR filed by the woman said that she had been in a five-year relationship with Dayal, and he had mentally and physically exploited her

What does the FIR say?

The report quoting the FIR said, "For the past 5 years, the complainant had been in a relationship with a cricketer. The man emotionally, mentally, and physically exploited her by misleading her with the promise of marriage. He introduced the complainant to his family and behaved like a husband, which made her trust him completely. When the complainant realized the deception and protested, she was subjected to physical violence and mental harassment. During the relationship, the complainant was also exploited financially and emotionally."

"Later, it was found that the man was involved in similar false relationships with other girls too. On June 14, 2025, the complainant called the women's helpline 181, but the process did not move forward at the police station. The complainant is mentally and socially distressed, and is seeking justice through the Chief Minister’s office. She has chat records, screenshots, video calls, and photos as evidence."

It further stated"It has been requested that a swift investigation be conducted into the matter and that legal action be taken against the concerned individual. This step is not only important for her but also for all those girls who fall victim to such deceitful relationships,"

What is the Yash Dayal controversy?

Reports emerged on Saturday that the Royal Challengers Bengaluru pacer has been accused of accused of sexual harassment, mental and physical assault by a woman in Uttar Pradesh.

The complainant stated that she later found out Dayal was involved in similar misleading relationships with other women, and this prompted her to take legal action. She initially tried to report the incident by calling the women's helpline (181) on June 14, 2025, but the process did not advance at the local police station.

Feeling helpless financially and socially, the woman directly approached the Chief Minister’s office for justice with proof and urged the authorities to take swift action and ensure the accused is punished under the law.
